David P. Cote, DDS, MAGD, ABGD
For over forty years as a general dentist, I have pursued excellence through lifelong learning. Through these efforts, I have achieved the status of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry and have been board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry. Additionally, I am a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I believe in the value of organized dentistry and the ethical values espoused by those organizations. Thus, I am also a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. Cote graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and completed his dental studies at the University of Maryland in 1979. Upon graduation he began his career in the Navy Dental Corps which took him all over the world. He completed a one year Fellowship in General Dentistry at the Naval Dental Center in San Diego and a two year Comprehensive Dentistry residency at the Naval Post Graduate Dental School in Bethesda. He also served as Assistant Director of the Fellowship Program and as Assistant Professor at the Naval Dental School before retiring in 2003 to start private practice.
Vickie Patel, DMD, MBS
Dr. Patel is a native of Boise, Idaho. She has been no stranger to academic achievement. After graduating from Oregon State University with a B.S, degree in Biology, she moved east and achieved her M.B.S. in Oral Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Following that accomplishment, she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston, where she was awarded her D.M.D. degree. While at Tufts, she conducted her research in Botulinum Toxin A and dermal fillers and was able to serve as Teaching Assistant in the Fixed Prosthodontics Department and the Emergency Clinic. She most recently worked in the South End Community Health Center in Boston.
As she also believes in the value of organized dentistry and the ethical values espoused by those organizations, Dr. Patel is a member of The Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
